Slogan cancellations: Send a Telegram - Melbourne.


The SEND A TELEGRAM slogan was introduced to Melbourne at a comparatively late date and it was used for a relatively short time of only 15 months - from 17 June 1937 to 15 September 1938.

Unlike for Sydney and Brisbane, Melbourne used only five dies covering both basic shapes and four variations of letter arrangement. Two different letter sizes were used within the box format.
